Online gaming site Bodog has suddenly gone offline. Apparently there's a nasty legal dispute brewing. Calvin Ayre's explanation simply says it's due to a dispute over domain name ownership. Shoemoney reckons there's more to it than that. If he's right then any precedent could have far wider ramifications than just online poker.

In summer 2007 I started playing poker - in particular No Limit Hold 'Em (NLHE) - for real, mainly online at PKR. This blog will record my journey as I progress from beginner to... well, who knows. Perhaps I'll one day become an ace? On this blog I'll discuss my experiences and share some of the tips and ideas I pick up on how to improve my play.
